How We Do It
Music is one of the most powerful artistic expressions humankind has created. Hugworks performs live Therapeutic Music Entertainment programs for hospitalized children and funds Music Therapy sessions for children with special needs, at no cost to the child's family. By leveraging the power of our award-winning music, Hugworks is collaborating with premier early childhood educators and other best-in-class nonprofits to create original children's programs. |
How We Began
Asked to play at Columbus, Ohio Children's Hospital during a concert tour, Jim Newton sang for a group of kids and a child named Toby who, through the music, began to smile - something he had not done in a very long time. That day, Jim discovered there was not only entertainment but also therapeutic value in music. He decided to dedicate his life and musical talents to help enrich and heal children with special needs.

Who Makes This Possible
We are very fortunate to have generous foundations, individual donors and other supporters who are committed to our mission - since there is no way we could do this alone. These groups and individuals are critical as we continue to serve the needs of children.
